CrowdScreen Overview

CrowdScreen is a cloud-based, interactive social canvas for events. It engages your audience and makes them the star of your show by allowing you to display and track social interactions from your choice of #hashtags and @names.

You can't have failed to notice that most TV shows and events either have an @name, a #hashtag or both. CrowdScreen, as a tool for social outreach, can capitalise on this and help spread awareness of your brand and showcase your event to a global audience.

CrowdScreen is massively scalable, from small parties to festivals ‐ it can handle it all. So why not get in touch with our team today & talk about your specific requirements.
An introduction to CrowdScreen

Moderating Your CrowdScreen

A social wall is a fantastic way to showcase what your audience is saying by utilising the power of social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter and Vine. But what if your audience starts having a few drinks and decides to bombard the screen with a selection of unsavoury messages and photos?

No problem, CrowdScreen offers you a variety of moderation options from a basic filter to blocking all offensive content.

Our custom-built moderation solution is packed full of features to monitor, review and publish your audience's interactions. It's optimised to work on any mobile device or tablet which means that you can moderate while on the go at an event.

You can even moderate multiple screens, all with different designs and layouts from just one moderation panel.

Don't have the resource to moderate? At CrowdScreen we not only design, deploy and manage your social display but we can also provide a member of our team to moderate it for you.

How CrowdScreen Works

CrowdScreen allows you to display audience's comments, photos and videos from Twitter, Instagram, Vine, YouTube and Facebook based on your search criteria. You can search for any number of combinations of hashtags, @names, words or phrases.

CrowdScreen can also populate information slides with headlines from RSS news feeds, local information, weather, traffic and national news sources.

Our system checks these social media platforms and data sources at regular intervals for interactions relating to your search terms. These will then show in the CrowdScreen moderation tool or be pushed straight in to the media cycle for your wall, depending on your moderation settings.

Live statistics are compiled and available to view in real-time so you can monitor the impact and outreach of your event across the many social media platforms. See below for more details on our live stats tools.

Question & Answer Mode

One of the many powerful widgets within CrowdScreen is the option to switch your social media wall to Q&A mode. Our questions and answers widget allows you to display comments on the big screen and transition to the next question or comment with a tap of a button.

The Q&A widget is perfect for conferences or any event where a speaker asks for questions from the audience. Questions can be sent to your CrowdScreen using Twitter, or if you'd like to stop the questions going out on a public social network, you can also solicit for comments via SMS or CrowdScreen's secure private app. See below for more information about the private app.
How CrowdScreen's Q&A mode works

Collect Comments Through Our Private App

Social media is great for exposing your brand or event to a larger audience but at CrowdScreen we understand that as a business you may not want to shout about your internal affairs to the whole world. That's why we're pleased to be able to offer you access to our secure mobile app, which effectively creates a closed network. Your staff, conference-goers or event attendees can use it to have their say, without their thoughts leaking to the outside world.

The CrowdScreen private app can work very well when used hand-in-hand with our Q&A widget, allowing you to securely collect questions at an event, conference or in an office environment. There's even the option to submit questions and comments anonymously.

Monitor Engagement With Live Stats

During your event you can monitor the engagement levels of your audience through our moderation tool. Just click on the the 'stats' tab to see the amount of interactions received over time, a pie chart of #hashtag usage, the percentage of tweets containing media and moderation statistics.

We also calculate your event's estimated social reach and monitor your #hashtag on Twitter, alerting you if your event trends anywhere in the world.

After your event, your statistics panel remains live so you can share this data with clients. You can even export your event's interactions as a spreadsheet, which becomes a tangible record of your event's engagement that your sponsors will love.

Live On Screen Polling

Want an instant opinion from your audience? CrowdScreen's poll widget allows you to pose a question at your event or conference. Attendees can vote via our private mobile app, using a #hashtag on Twitter or a keyword in a text message.

The results can either be displayed and updated in real-time on your social wall or you can withhold the result until your poll closes. At which time the final results will shows on your CrowdScreen.

CrowdScreen is optimised for use with Google's Chrome and Apple's Safari browsers. Both of which are free, cross platform applications, a perfect choice for PC and Mac users alike. It cuts out the need for expensive hardware and will run on even the most underpowered of laptops.
